What is a canary plant?

Phoenix canariensis, the 'Canary Island Date Palm', brings that look home. Despite its exotic appearance, it’s incredibly hardy and surprisingly well suited to our UK climate, thriving outside through summer, before spending autumn to spring in the conservatory or a place with winter protection. Place it on either side of an entrance for a stylish statement or pair it with gravel and lavender for a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. It’s drought tolerant, thrives in sunshine, and doesn't need regular feeding or trimming. Just water occasionally during dry spells and it will reward you with lush foliage all year long.
